Tummy Time (March 29, 2009)

Sage had some "tummy time" on her new tummy mat and she seems to really like it. She pushes and moves herself around the mat and boppy pillow. We hope this will help her exert some energy as she has A LOT at nighttime. It seemed to work as she did not have any screaming fits during this evening.

Sage's First Outing (March 28, 2009)

On Saturday, March 28 we took Sage on her first outing to Babies R'Us. She has been on other outings to doctors' appointments ~ this was her first to a store. She was such a good baby ~ no crying or screaming and she looked very content in the cart. She even allowed Mommy & Daddy to get some frozen yogurt, albeit through a drive through. We look forward to more outings with our sweetie. Getting ready to hit Babies R'Us...

Sage's 4 week birthday (March 24, 2009)

Our little angel turned 4 wks old on Tuesday, March 24. We had her one month checkup scheduled yet it was not quite 30 days from her last hep B shot so we had to reschedule her appt. Grandmama Joyce gave Sage a cute easter bunny to decorate her nursery. Uncle David & Aunt Theresa stopped by for cupcakes and brought Sage a cute Tampa Bay Rays onesie, socks and bib, a pooh hat, pooh jacket and her first pair of Converse hightops (socks). Before we could get a pic of Sage and her cupcake, she had a meltdown which really cleared out the party. Our beautiful birthday girl...

Sage's 1st bath (and she LOVED it!)

Sage had her first real bath on Sunday, March 22. She was such a good girl and seemed to like the water. As soon as we placed her in the tub, she kicked back and swung her little legs over the side of the hammock in the tub. We hope this is a sign of things to come and she will be our little water baby! Kicking back in the tub... Chilling out in her robe after bathtime...
Looking good!

Welcome to the World Sage!!!!

Sage Cooper Smith was welcomed into the world on Tuesday, February 24, 2009 at 11:28 a.m. She weighed 7 lbs 9 ozs and was 20" long. She was/is perfect in every way and we are SO in love with her. The labor & delivery went very well and fast. Mom had some complications after the delivery so Sage and Mom had an extended hospital stay. Everyone is home and we are getting adjusted to each other and life with a newborn. Every day consists of eating/sleeping/diaper changing and not always in that order. We never knew we could love someone so much as we do little Sage. She is the light of our lives.
