Mari's (Sage's BFF) 1st Birthday! (April 17, 2010)

On Saturday, April 17, we attended Mari's 1st birthday party!  The theme was Minnie Mouse and Kristen (Mari's mom), had the house beautifully decorated.  Hot pink and Minnie were everywhere and Sage seemed to love it all.   Sage and Mari have been BFF's since birth and seemed to have a great time together at the party. 

Mari was so cute and animated opening all of her gifts.  Sage got right in the mix and ripped off her headband to "help" Mari open her gifts.  We tried to keep her back some of the time but she kept crawling over to Mari and getting involved in everything.  Sage must be in all of the gift opening pictures.  Mari had a gorgeous hot pink "smash" cake and she really had fun with it.  It was such a fun day for Sage...she was a real party animal.

Iron Girl Run (April 10, 2010)

On Saturday, April 10, I ran in the Clearwater Iron Girl run.  We all had to wake up very early to make it to the race by 7:30 am.  We were still stuck in traffic at 7:15'ish so I had to get out of the car and "run" to the start line.  It was a great way to get in my pre-race warm up! 

I really enjoyed the run and course....think it was my favorite race so far.  I also beat my original time by 5 mins so very  happy about this! The weather could not have been better and there were about 3,000 women running 5k & 15k distances.  The run started at Pier 60 on Clearwater Beach and it was a nice course.  After the run, we enjoyed the post-race breakfast and activities, along with the gorgeous weather.  There were a lot of mother/daughter teams running together so I have visions of my little iron girl and me running together one day!
