Sage's first taste of solid food! (September 6 & September 7, 2009)

Following Sage's pediatrician's strong recommendation, we waited until Sage was 6 months old to feed her solid food. Well...she is still getting used to swallowing and using her tongue but she has really caught on and seems to enjoy eating her organic brown rice cereal. She gets excited when she sees the spoon and bowl of cereal....she even opens her mouth, like a baby bird, when the spoon is near. Needless to say, these first attempts at feeding Sage are very messy! Being the parenting novices that we are, we placed a cloth bib on her the first day ~ BIG MISTAKE!!! I promptly went out and got a plastic bib as we will be cleaning this after each feeding. We also captured her first feeding on video and it is priceless. Sage's first day of "food" ~ Sunday, September 7, 2009 "What is this stuff???" "Ok...I could get used to this food stuff!" "YUMMY!!!"
