The Smith Family: Sage's First Halloween Party! (October 30, 2009)

On Friday, October 30 Sage attended her first Halloween party at Gymboree!!! The party was from 4 - 5:30 pm and was so much fun! There were about 20-25 baby partygoers, who were ages 6 mos - 16 mos, along with their parents. Everyone seemed to have fun. There was one little vampire who seemed to cry the entire time but most of the babies had a ball. Everyone commented on Sage's ladybug costume and the other babies loved to feel (grab) her tutu, wings and antennae. Sage did not mind and kept on her costume the entire party! Sage flirted with Daniel, her friend from Baby Sign Language class, and an unknown Spider. Sage socialized, sang songs, bobbed for "apples" (red balls with holes), rode on a bouncing pumpkin log, enjoyed bubbles, spun around in a parachute, rode on a padded cart and rocking horse with Daddy, placed her handprint on a pumpkin and just had the best time. It was fun to see Sage in her first large social setting with so many other babies and people. She was very excited when we first arrived...smiling and bobbing up and down. After awhile, she settled in and seemed to just check out everything going on around her. While it was free time and other babies were crawling, crying and moving around...Sage just sat back and took in everything going on around her. She seems very laid back and is prone to daydreaming during high energy times. We'll see how this plays out as she grows older.... Sage & Daddy...
