It's been exactly one year since......

we found out we were having a baby!!! It was on Friday the 13th (June 13, 2008) that we found out and we feel nothing but lucky since being blessed with our sweet angel. It was the Friday before Father's Day. I remember waking up early and not being patient, took a pregnancy test a few days earlier than is recommended. It looked a little iffy (one of those with the pink lines) so while Landon was still sleeping, I zoomed up to Walgreens to get one that reads "Pregnant" or 'Not Pregnant". While I was at Walgreens, I bought Landon a Father's Day card (I was feeling positive & just thinking ahead!). Well...the 2nd test was confirmation flashing a big "Pregnant" at me. I was SO elated as we had suffered a devastating miscarriage on March 15, 2008. When Landon came into the kitchen, I had the card out for him. He had this look on his face like "Uh oh....what anniversary or date did I forget?". He opened the card and was shocked and excited! We then announced the news to my family by giving my dad a Grandfather's card on Father's Day. Everyone was very excited. We laugh as the night prior (Thurs, June 12, 2008), Sage "attended" her first concert ~ Pearl Jam at the St. Pete Times Forum. What a great concert to be your first!
