Sage's First Christmas!!! (December 25, 2009)

It was Sage's first Christmas and what a wonderful and fun day! I woke up early very excited about the day and anticipating Sage's awakening. She woke up at her usual 7:30'ish and had no clue as to what was in store for her. After eating her breakfast, we guided her to her stocking and she went to town digging in and checking out all her stocking stuffers. Out of all the stocking toys, she most loved her new pink "S" rubber luggage tag - of course!

We hosted Christmas and Grandaddy, Grandmama, Uncle David and Aunt Theresa arrived at 1 pm for lunch. After lunch, we opened gifts. Sage had so much fun and received SO many gifts from her family. She received a beautiful "baby" white baby grand piano from her grandparents on which she bangs out some great tunes! They also gave her a stocking with sunglasses, bubbles, lion and other fun things along with a sweet stuffed cowgirl, Bearington Christmas bear, leopard print coat & hat, a cute jean outfit, rock star pj's and custom peek-a-boo books with her photo in the books. She recived so many things from her Uncle David and Aunt Theresa...a Build-a-Bear dressed in a Rays outift with additional pink Rays shirt & shorts and a Gators cheerleading outfit. The bear also came with a cute closet to store all of her outfits and a gift card for us to pick out another outfit for the bear. Sage received an adorable bunny with "Sage" stitched on her dress and a lot of cute clothes including "America's Next Top Model" t-shirts, valentine's outift, 1st birthday outifit and a fashionable velour sweatsuit! Some of our gifts to Sage are a sweet pink bunny chair for her room, a stroller with baby that should assist her in walking, a pink/purple tea set that talks, a rainforest wave drum, seahorse that plays lullabies and other stocking stuffers. Soooo...Sage made out like a bandit!

Sage was slow opening her gifts and once she got the hang of it, she loved playing with all the paper. She had to rest in between opening her gifts so we had 2 gift opening sessions. As usual, she was in such a good mood and enjoyed being around all of her family.   One thing I realized after going through the pictures is I did not take any pictures of Sage with her family, with exception of Uncle David.  Sometimes we get so busy we forget to grab the camera.

This Christmas was so much fun and magical! I have always loved Christmas and it takes on a new meaning with our sweet baby girl.  Even though she is not fully aware of the holiday, we think she knew it was a very special day and really enjoyed herself. The best part is Christmas will only get better for years to come!
